What Does It Take To Be A Student At SBA?

Learn about student expectations and the enrollment process at SBA.

At Springs Baptist Academy, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience education guided by the principles of God’s Word.  We also believe anyone can succeed in their education when they apply themselves.  So what does it take to be a student at SBA?

  1. It takes a desire to excel. Our teachers provide a rigorous classroom environment that encourages students to excel in what they do. We’re looking for students who want the same result.

  2. It takes passion. Passion creates the desire to succeed. Our teachers don't simply instruct and impart knowledge, they expect students to think on their own, to engage in discourse, and to use wisdom to discern among choices that may be presented to them. A student with passion fuels the desire to achieve those goals.

  3. It takes character. The Bible tells us that character is the vehicle which channels passion for good. We believe godly character helps students achieve great things in life.

  4. It takes a yearning to know God. God is our Creator and Saviour. We want every student to know God and to have a relationship with Him. We don't just teach about God, we show our students how to know Him.

How you can be a Cougar

Attending SBA is a privilege, not a right.  Although we want everyone to experience a good Christian education, we understand that isn't the case for every person.  Because this is a Christian environment, we have practices and rules to promote good and discourage wrong.  We ask that every parent and child read and agree with our statement of faith while attending SBA as well as the student pledge and code of conduct.

Enrollment Process

If you believe you have what it takes to be an SBA Cougar, start the process by filling out an enrollment application.

After your application is accepted, we will contact you to schedule a tour of the facility and have an interview with the administration. If SBA is a fit for your student, you will need these items to finalize enrollment.

  1. Pay your registration fee ($50 per student or $150 per family).

  2. Schedule a time for placement testing and to meet with your student’s prospective teacher.

  3. Submit a copy of your student’s transcripts (except K4/K5), vaccination record, and medical form, student agreements, and financial contract.

  4. Activate your school access account (provided by the office).
